Resources Recreation and Tourism. My Master of Arts Degree from Prescott
College, Prescott Arizona in Adventure Education and Wilderness
Leadership. I am currently getting the Third Degree from....none other than my fly fishing guides!
Recreation Resource Management, as I studied at Colorado State University for my Bachlor's degree, is the study of managing public lands and waters to provide people with quality outdoor recreation experiences. Introducing people to wilderness recreation and preservation opportunities. Finally, building a career in the growing field of ecotourism. A Green career!
My experiences in the natural world have inspired me to share with others the wisdom that comes to one’s soul and the grandeur experienced no other place in the world than in the outdoors and in the wilderness. Whether on the trail or back at the lodge my years of personal and professional experience since the early 1970's in adventure recreation and working with youth and other groups will encourage play and leisure time together to build and improve relationships. I look forward to sharing stories, the comfort that comes with paddling sky blue waters, and wonderful company around campfires. I've been guiding in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness since 1990. I invite you to find or customize an adventure that is right for you this year!

My work has taken me from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Northern Minnesota's Arrowhead, to the WILD WILD WEST of Coeur d'Alene Idaho, the Willamette Valley in Oregon, to the Front Range & Summit County of Colorado, the arid earth in Arizona, then back to the "Old Country" in Northwest Wisconsin. I've worked as a wilderness guide and in the hospitality industry for the past 4 decades. With roller skating, canoe camping, backpacking, downhill skiing, kayaking, fly fishing, rock climbing and mountain biking keeping me occupied I never did have time to look for a corporate cubicle!Book Me for Speaking Engagements
