Sheila Meisel on the Bitterroot in Montana

Sheila Meisel on the Bitterroot in Montana

Paige,
Tell Twink that it’s the ultimate in “zen” catch n’ release!

I have been busy as usual here in Montana.
Fishing on the Clark Fork has slowed down considerably as the weather is much warmer than usual. It’s a guessing game all day as to what they are taking, if anything at all. But we still manage to boat many fish each day here at Clark Fork River Outfitters.
I’ve been fishing & rowing with other guides & outfitters all week on new sections of the Clark Fork and spent two days on the Bitterroot. Fishing on the Bitterroot is off the hook with all fish being boated in the 17″ – 20″ range and all big fatties! Caught one on Thursday that spit out another fish he was eating as I pulled him to the surface. What hogs!
Both the Clark Fork & Bitterroot are doing well still on hoppers & turk’s turantula’s during the heat of the day. Morning & evening we’ve been doing well on Quigley’s Cripple, Purple Haze, Large Caddis Patterns & as always the Royal Wolfe.
First student arrived for the fall guide school. Let the abuse begin! Ha Ha Ha (evil laugh)

Pictures attached of my most recent exploits.

tight lines fellow hookers,
Sheila Meisel
